The Kite Festival

Every year St. George and a few local businesses put on a kite festival. It's to help encourage kids to read and if they bring a paper with recorded reading minutes on it then get a kite. Of course Kylie was all over that. She had been dying to go and was super excited when the day finally came. The sad part was it was an EXTREMEMLY hot day (or so it seemed) and there was zero wind! We did our best to enjoy ourselves with bounce houses, kiddie games and the best part, snow-cones in the shade.

The bounce houses and slides were really hot! Kylie is trying her best not to touch the actual slide as she went down and Jase wouldn't even attempt them. He would get in and immediately want out.

Kylie got brave and tried the loop-da-loop ride. She liked it for the first several turns, but then started to slip out of her belt and started panicking so they let her off early.  She wouldn't even talk about the ride after that.
She also loved the chance to ride a school bus for the very first time. I am sure you can tell just by looking at her face just how hot it was.  We were worn out, but it was a fun and the kids really enjoyed it.

Kylie is a brave little girl! I would not dare to do that loopy ride! That looks freaky!

That sounds like a fun day, I wish we had fun little things like that around here! Yes it looks like it was really hot!
