My Husband is Becoming COOL

Jeremy is not a big sports person. He doesn't play sports, he doesn't really like watching sports on T.V. and he's never seemed to have a desire to go to any sports games. Well, ever since the company he works for started having ESPN tournaments Jeremy can't get enough. It started with football. He didn't really like watching the games, or maybe we don't have the right channels, I'm not sure, but he was constantly checking his ranking against his fellow co-workers. I think by the end he was the only one really into it anymore and actually cared to switch his players around and whatever else you do with that. I think he may have won or came really close. Basketball has however actually taken over our T.V. Last night it was the weirdest thing to be in making dinner while I could hear basketball on in the other room. He would be excited (as excited as Jeremy gets) if the team he was rooting for had won and upset if they lost. I have never seen such emotion in the guy. We truly are becoming an all American family! I asked Jeremy last night why he is into this so much all the sudden and he said jokingly, "To be cool. It's peer pressure, I just want to fit in." I personally can't wait until my Food Network loving, Biggest Loser watching husband is back, but for right now if it means he won't get beat up and stuffed in a trash can with a swirly I will let him watch his sports. (P.S. He may kill me for admitting he likes the Food Network)

Happy 6 Years

Today is our 6 year anniversary. I can't believe it's been that long. After going to all these wedding lately I have thought a lot about what it was like when we were first married; just starting out without any kids, years and years of school ahead of us, making close to minimum wage, living in a one bedroom apartment and trying to get used to each other. Of course we had a good time back then and it was fun and exciting, but I am glad to be where I am at now. I am grateful to have my two kids and be done with school. We are also blessed enough to have a good job and living in house bigger than a one bedroom appartment. The one thing I wouldn't change from 6 years ago was the husband I picked. I am so grateful for Jeremy and all he does. He is a great husband and a great father and I couldn't ask for anyone better. We have had a pretty eventful first 6 years can't wait to see what the next 6 years are like.

Have we changed much? Jeremy saw this picture the other day and just about died. He couldn't believe he used to be so young and skinny.

A few kids, a few pounds and a few gray hairs later, but still just as happy!!

Got Rid of the Old Ball and Chain

Jase is a free man! He is done with his oxygen. We got the OK to have his oxygen stuff picked up by the doctor yesterday. He seems to be fine without it and continues to gain weight steadily. He is up to 8 lbs. 6 oz now. Jase also had some, what I am sure is very painful, male bonding with the Dr. (if you catch my drift) I couldn't stand to be there so Jeremy took him. The poor guy is a little sore, but I feel like the last two things that need to be done are done and now we can just focus on have a very healthy little baby.

More Pictures

Odviously I can't get enough pictures of my kids, but when we were in Arizona my mom asked a lady named Julyssa Schenk to come over snd take some pictures. I have only ever gone to a studio or taken pictures myself so I am excited to have fun, artistic pictures with cool effects. Of course, Kylie loved it, but it took some serious convincing to get Jase to cooperate. We did get some really cute one though.

Zane & Olivia Felix

Yesterday Jeremy's little brother was married in the Manti, Utah Temple. Besides it being a tad bit on the chilly side the day was beautiful. It was so fun to watch Zane because you could see the excitement on his face and how happy he was to be marrying Olivia. It was neat to be in the temple with them and have all of Jeremy's family there.

I can't take credit for these three first pictures. My battery died at the temple and so I stole these from facebook.

Olivia's dress was beautiful!

I feel really bad because we had ran back to the hotel to get the kids and we missed them coming out of the temple. I was really sad I didn't get a picture of that. This is a picture of the immediate family.

Zane and Olivia with Zane's brothers and sister Jeremy, Jon and Ang.

Just giving them a glimpse of what life could look like in a few years!!
Jeremy and Jon with the newest members of the family except for Olivia of course.

Kylie with most of the boy cousins at the luncheon.

The reception was really nice. Her colors where red, white and black. It was in Nephi at the Old Mill. It was a cool little place.

The cake

My sister-in-laws Ang and Amy and me. Olivia broke the all "A" name mold for the sisters and having a birthday in the spring, but her middle name starts with an A and we will take her anyway.

Decorating their car. That's Jon tying cans to the back...

and Doug whip creaming the door handles and tires. (Now you know the guilty)

Cutting the cake

They were very nice to each other!
The first dance

Zane and Olivia walking out to leave. When they finally actually left in the car Kylie said with a huge smile on her face, "That was so FUN!!!"

In the hotel before the reception we compared Ty and Jase again. In the picture they don't look that different in size, but Jase has some weight to be gaining to catch up to Ty's cute chubbiness.

Then Jase decided he would try to eat him.

Sleeping Beauty

Kylie had another date with Grandma and Grandpa on Saturday and went to see the play Sleeping Beauty. She was so excited to go. We brought her pretty princess dress so she could wear it there.  She thought the talking dragon and talking horse was a little bit scary and wouldn't get her picture taken with them, but she loved all the rest. She also loved going down to the stage at intermission and dancing to the music!
Sleeping Beauty and Prince True
I thought the costumes were so cute. These are the good fairies
This is the mean fairy that apparently becomes nice in the end.

Playing Dress-up

My sister Lexie and her friend Holly decided it would be fun to do Kylie's hair, dress her up and take pictures. I thought they were fun little pictures and of course Kylie loved every minute of it. These are just a few of what they took.

David & Ashley Bean

This morning my little sister Ashley's was married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. I can't believe she is big enough. I think I have mentioned before that she is the EXACT same age as I was when I got married. We both were married 10 days before our 20th birthdays. According to my parents though Ashley seems way older then I was when I got married.

It was such a fun day. She looked absolutely beautiful and they both looked so happy! The sealing was so neat. They had a really fun sealer that kept us laughing most of the time. He gave great advice. He reminded us that the two things that break a marriage the fastest are selfishness and neglect. He also suggested that David needs to make sure he remembers and calls my mom his FAVORITE mother-in-law.  Jeremy has been the only son-in-law for quite awhile now and feeling a tiny bit threatened by David so has taken it upon himself to call my mom his favorite mother-in-law as well!!

As usual my camera was loaded with picture by the end of the day. Here is just a sampling of the happening.  Prepare yourselves...
Kylie has been so excited for this day. She could hardly stand waiting for them to come out of the temple.

My family including my Grandma Hansen
Kylie absolutely loves David. She constatly talks about him and told my mom the other day that it was her marrying David.

She had a good time playing on the fence with all of David's nephews
My two boys.
Her colors where coral and green. They were beautiful and I loved the green roses.
The reception was at a church, but it was amazing. She had a false ceiling and a million flowers. This picture doesn't do it justice at all!

Kylie had the cutest little hair bows made from the same flowers. She also was so excited about her dress. It was her special wedding dress and every time she saw it hung in her closet she made a comment about it.
Jase looked pretty snazzy himself. He has a cute little tie to match the rest of the little boys.
